With the help of a restorer friend, who personally has given new life to many ancient forniture, I restructured and furnished the apartment recently with a ‘50s mood. I wanted to create a welcoming space with style playing on different shades of green, like the old Vespa green, combining them with a burnt sienna color typical of the old Garbatella area and a sepia tint, very common in the late ‘50s. Garbatella hasn't lost its authentic charm: you can sit elbow to elbow with the locals in restaurants which offers traditional meals and a true taste of Rome.
